Fully matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 49.9% ABV without chill filtration, the whisky delivers aromas of pear, peach, and apricot, followed by honey, nutmeg, and gentle peat. The palate is sweet and syrupy with aniseed and creamy liquorice, leading to a long finish of ashy vanilla and lingering peat. A truly exceptional and collectible release.

Laphroaig 36 Year Old The Wall Peat

$3,100.00

Laphroaig 36 Year Old The Wall Peat

The first release in the iconic Islay distillery's brand new Wall Collection, this 36-year-old puts the very lifeblood of Laphroaig’s character front and centre. 'Peat' was finished in a heavily peated cask which has reintroduced prominent smoky notes that often take a back seat as the spirit ages. A limited release of only 200, each bottle has been hand painted by London illustrator Laura Carlin with the exact paint from Warehouse No.1, and raised on a display plinth. The nose is fruity, with notes of passionfruit, strawberries and sultanas which intermingle with soft leather and cinnamon. On the palate, flavours of zesty orange peel, pineapple, runny honey, vanilla and custard tart lead to a smooth finish of lingering signature peat.
