Personally selected by the Urquhart family, who have owned Gordon & Macphail for four generations, this Clynelish expression has been bottled as a part of the Private Collection. Aged for half a century in a single American oak cask, the whisky has been bottled at a very impressive 58% abv. Presented in a spectaular wooden box, as one of only 135 bottles. On the nose, expect aromas of apple, walnut and ginger spice, before touches of Sicilian lime and subtle aged leather come to the fore. Poached pear flavours give way to apricot and banana on the palate, alongside hints of vanilla, pineapple and mature oak. The finish is full and long, with lingering citrus zest.

The refill sherry butt was filled in 1984, and was decanted in 2023 into just 103 bottles. Presented at 50.5% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour. Berry compote aromas complement autumnal spice and sultanas, leading to a palate of stewed forest fruits, dark chocolate and hazenuts. A medium-bodied finish with coffee bean and apple.

This 2024 edition was initially matured in American white oak bourbon casks, before being transferred into 30 year old Matusalem oloroso sherry casks. This precious liquid was then blended with spirit which was matured in American white oak bourbon casks and then Graham’s Port Colheita casks from 1970, creating a whisky which is indulgent, smooth and complex. Bottled at 42%, the single malt is presented in a luxurious display case. On the nose, there are aromas of cherries, plums, sultanas, toffee apple and vanilla beans. The palate shines with notes of orange peel, chocolate truffles, marmalade, and crushed walnuts, before a finish of black forest fruits, poached pear, caramel and dark chocolate.

Presenting The Dalmore 45 Year Old 2024 release, an assemblage brought together by The Dalmore Master Distiller, Richard Paterson, created using some of the distillery’s most rare and exquisite casks. Initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, the whisky then matures in Cabernet Sauvignon barriques. It is transferred back into American white oak ex-bourbon casks before maturing in Tawny port pipes which have held 20 year old port for the penultimate stage. The precious liquid is then married together with aged whisky matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and aged Port. Bottled at 40% abv, and presented in a spectacular display case. Freshly roasted coffee beans on the nose, with a palate of succulent figs, toffee apple and ripe banana. English marmalade and Manuka honey on the finish, alongside whispers of cranberries.
