W.L. Weller was credited as the first to distill a \u201cwheated\u201d bourbon, using wheat in place of rye in the mash bill. _x000D_<br \/>\nWilliam Laure Weller\u2019s story is inextricably linked with another bourbon legend, Pappy Van Winkle. In 1893, a young Julian Van Winkle, Jr. joined W.L. Weller &amp; Sons as a traveling salesman._x000D_<br \/>\nWeller is nowadays produced at the World\u2019s Most Awarded Distillery \u2013 Buffalo Trace. As part of the wheated bourbon family, this twelve-year-old W.L.
